What some of the Iron Brides do…..

As a Mother of two children in their early 20′s, as well as being the Associate Producer of the new Cable TV Reality Show being produced in New Hampshire later this fall which enables me to meet by email, telephone, and in person, many, many bridal contestants…..I feel like a Mom to MANY, MANY 20+ something years olds……….its hard to describe.   ONLY a Mom would really be able to relate to me on this one : )

Its my job to assist contestants with auditions, questions, and inquiries…..sort of what a Mom does for her children on any good day, wouldn’t you say?    I compile the Online Bridal Questionnaires, respond to the girls who have entered the contest, and continue to follow up with them on their audition progress, or if they need help with video taping, give them a little nudge on getting their stuff submitted,  that sort of thing…..I try hard to accommodate their need – regardless of who or where they are in the New England area.

In looking over what some of the girls do, I have found them to be well rounded in careers and things that they like to do.  I have gals who coach Field Hockey, Cheerleading, and Youth Sports…ummmm, a couple of dance instructors, day spa owners-workers, several  medical professionals, marketing, accounting and financial personnel, and estheticians.   There’s a housemanager – thats what I need at times!  There are a few full-time college students, graduate students, attorneys, and legal assistants. With this, there are also a few able to stay at home Moms as well as a part-time dairy farm worker on the family farm.

I am enjoying the wide array of professions and likes of these young women.   It’s hard to list each and every contestant with respects to their professional capacity, however, KUDOS to you for your hard work and efforts!  I wish each and every one of you the best in your wedding planning, the Iron Brides Contest, and with life’s endeavors.

From the New Hampshire Seacoast – It’s great that there is going to be a reality TV Show about Brides!

As I briefly mentioned in a blog while out on the road, I received an email inquiry from a Senior Bridal Consultant at Madeleines Bridal, a privately owned Bridal Boutique located in Portsmouth, NH, she had learned of Iron Brides prior to contacting me.   Being in the bridal gown and formal wear business, as well as holding other professional characteristics, she has inquired of the Iron Brides Focus Group and possibly being a member of the group.

Being knowledgeable and also very caring, she indicated that she was sending out a bulk email to all of their boutique’s brides informing them of an audition day scheduled at the Sheraton Inn in Portsmouth, NH, next Friday, October 17th, from 2-8 PM. I thought and still think that that was incredibly nice of her.

Not only did she mention that she wanted to do this as a favor, she told me that she and co-workers at Madeleines have said that there should have been or should be a reality show in New Hampshire or in the New England region, focusing on brides and their weddings.

I think that this concept is just what the WWW, Wide World of Weddings, has ordered!  I have a feeling that MANY women out there would like to see a cable TV reality show about brides and the endeavors they face in preparing for their dream wedding!    NO, this is not intended to be “Bridezilla” in nature…..its meant to be lively, challenging, heartwarming, and fun for the bridal, host, and entertainment contestants…..evenmoreso, pleasing to the cable TV audience.

More on this later!
