Off to the Lakes Region Monday, amid the various stages of fall foliage….the waxy oak leaves depicting their shade of burnt sienna, other tree species with their paler shades of reds, yellows, and oranges….HANG ON, LEAVES, HANG ON!
Traveling as a trio to a venue in the Lakes Region, I studied the leaves laying on the grass, pavement, and sidewalks and wished I was a child again. Oh how I would love to rake the leaves into a HUGE pile and jump in them or bury one of my kids again, to have them spring outward…..the good ole’ days!
Thinking of that also reminded me of the Charlie Brown Halloween Special….you know, the part where the Peanuts crew has a pile of leaves….Linus then decides to run, full-blast, into the pile of leaves……..alas, he is carrying his lollipop. What does he say after the fact? “Never jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker!”
This analogy is likened to the Iron Brides team making scheduled appointments with well established venues within New Hampshire – we aren’t running into a pile of leaves, or a venue, for that matter, without thinking about what is best for both parts of this potential team network……what and how will the venue chosen benefit greatest from our Iron Brides team efforts, media, and video commitments, as well as what and how Iron Brides will be able to film their cable television reality show on their premises. Done correctly, this union is a win-win relationship for both entities. No one will be in a pile of leaves holding onto a wet lollipop covered with leaves. Both teams will be prepared, informed, and working in unison.
All I can say is that we are discussing option at this time……
Iron Brides readers, I will tell you that the venue most recently visited is absolutely gorgeous! As a country girl originally from upstate New York, the venue was located on roads less traveled, the leaves also in various shades – leading to this resort in the hilly terrains – this reminded me of resort areas found in the Adirondacks in New York…my old stomping ground.
Not having been to this facility before but told all about it, I was WOWED by what the facility had to offer! The decor, the amenities, the view….Oh, the view! The owners, the management, and staff were very, very cordial and a pleasure to meet.
Enough said….it is my hope as an Associate Producer, that final agreements will allow us to work collaboratively with one another to create the first cable television reality show in New Hampshire.
With that being said, I think I’m going to go out and rake up some leaves…….MINUS the wet sucker!
