I am so excited that my daughter, Julia, is coming to visit this weekend! Attending college at The State University of New York at Albany, majoring in Environmental Science, minoring in Biology, it is hard to get to see her! When she isn’t studying or working at Price Chopper Supermarkets, she is white water rafting down the Hudson River, preparing for her role in her local fire department as a volunteer firefighter, or involved in politics on campus. She has a few pets -they are 3 little rats, Flower, Ebony, and Whitey…I have spoken of Julia in previous blogs.
She is coming out for the weekend and between audition shoots in Portsmouth on Friday, and also at the Castle In The Clouds on Sunday, I plan on spending alot of quality time with her. I miss her alot and the time spent together will be short but wonderful!
Moms and Mother-in-Laws out there, spend as much time as possible with your children…before you know it, there is ALOT LESS QUALITY TIME because they become independent adults leading their own lives… The ole “remember whens” start to creep up on you, as a parent….
As far as the upcoming weekend, Julia will be attending the Lakes Region Bridal Show, being held at the Castle In The Clouds, in Moultonboro, NH. I went ahead and submitted her online entry for this event and hope that the weather for this is as nice as this past weekend was. Even though she is from NYS, I told her she should check out all options in reviewing various wedding topics.
Julia is just in the “looking a little bit” stage in wedding preparation – what girl DOESN’T want to look at and dream of how their wedding will take shape – REGARDLESS of age? Being from New York State, Julia will not and cannot be a part of the Iron Brides Production, however, she is getting earfuls from Mom. She is happy that we are able to assist these nervous, not so certain how to go about this or that done, kind of young ladies. Knowing Moms and Mother-in-Laws will be there to assist, Iron Brides is just one more perspective in support for these girls : )
I find myself rambling from time to time….so much to say, I guess. As far as my own daughter’s wedding plans, tentatively, Julia has two plans on a wedding in the next 2 years – option 1 is in the Adirondacks, followed by white water rafting and then leaving for a honeymoon. Option 2 is a location wedding – see you in the Caribbean for a wedding….
As the Associate Producer of the new reality tv show, Iron Brides, I am being immersed into the lives of young soon-to-be-brides via email and phone conversations. ALL of these young ladies are very excited about their lives, employment, and preparation of their weddings. There is SO MUCH to have to inquire about in preparing for a wedding. I am very, very happy to be a part of a team that is going to be able to provide samples of professionals who can give the brides ideas of what to and what not to look for or do when planning.
This is going to be a fast and furious week with auditions, tapings, and interviews being held both in Portsmouth and Moultonboro, NH both Friday and Sunday, October 17 and 19. Will keep you informed, readers!
