I have a great recipie for you! Its actually more of a project but its fun and tastes great and you can use practically anything you’d like! The best part is no baking required. Last year I made these for everyone for christmas and wrapped with celephane and ribbons and they were awesome!! Not as indepth as it appears
The trick with chocolate is to work QUICKLY.
Chocolate Treat Bowls
What you Need:
your favorite chocolate chips (a combo is fun of white, dark, and milk chocolate)
aluminum foil
silcone brush or brand new paint brush (that u don’t mind throwing away)
cereal bowl
wax paper
Optional
nuts (any kind u like)
dried cranberries
peppermint candies, butterscotch, caramel…. really anything that goes with chocolate.
almonds with skins
Chocolate Bowl
1.Take a deep cereal bowl and line it with aluminum foil so it makes the shape of the bowl.
2.Melt about 2 cups of chocolate using directions on the bag
3. Use your brush to paint chocolate on the bowl you made with the foil (make it thick)
4. Put the whole bowl in the freezer for atleast 15 minutes
Don’t remove from freezer till your ready to fill
5. Remove the bowl, now gently remove foil from the chocolate place on wax paper
6.Once there hard you can actually decorate them with chocolate by driseling the opposite colored chocolate all over the outside.. then put back in freezer to cool.
PS…. they don’t always have to look pretty the end may be ragged thats ok.
The idea is to fill the chocolate bowl with all kind of goodies, heres some I typically do:
White Chocolate cranberries and almond Bark
1. Line cookie sheet with peice of wax paper
2. Smash almonds (you can put in a bag and smash with a spoon)
3. Melt White chocolate following directions on bag
4. Pour slowly or use the brush to poor chocolate onto wax paper
5. stir in almonds and cranberries
6. put in fridge to cool
7. once cold and hard break into all different shaped peices.
Cinnamon Almonds
1/2 cup water
1/2 sugar
3 tsp or to taste cinnamon
greased cookie sheet
1.Boil water, sugar, and cinnamon, stir often 2.Add almonds and toss to coat.
3.Remove almonds with slotted spoon. 4.Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes Store airtight. Chocolate Covered Candy Canes
Dip 1/2 the candy cane in melted dark chocolate
put on wax paper in fridge to harden
There is endless things you can do with these bowls, you can fill with cookies, candy, nuts, bark, anything you can think of…. the idea is to really fill them with lots of color.
ENJOY!

Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes
These are impressive and easy! Who doesn’t love molten lava cakes straight from the oven? You can also make these in advance then bring them to room temp while your eating dinner, then after when everyone’s clearing the table and drinking wine or coffee, you can pop them in the oven and 7-9 minutes later they can be served! Ingredients 6 Ounces of bitter sweet chocolate chopped ¾ Cup Butter (plus some to butter the ramekins) 3 Eggs 3 egg yolks ½ Cup sugar 3 tsp flour 6 tsp cocoa powder Melt chocolate, and butter in a double boiler, or if you don’t have a double boiler then use a glass bowl, over a pot of water! Stir until smooth, remove from heat. In a separate bowl beat the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until thick. Pour melted chocolate into eggs slowly! Try not to make chocolate scrambled eggs lol… Beat in the flour, until just combined don’t over beat! Butter 6 ramekins, put a tsp of cocoa powder in each one and then tip them around until the butter is coated in chocolate. Pour your batter in. Place on a baking sheet, and bake at 450 for 7-9 minutes. Outside should be set. Inside will be molten. Invert ramekins onto plates and let them sit for a few seconds. They should pop right out! |
Thanks, Girls! These are great ideas.
