With December, comes Christmas, with Christmas…..

comes, PRESENTS, GOODIES, AND MORE GOODIES! I had an idea, a simply, incredibly, awfully awful idea (sound like the Grinch?)! Would blog readers like to “share” recipes? They MUST be original (as in Great Grandmas, Grandmas, Aunties, or Moms, etc… NOT from a magazine, cookbook, etc., because of publication principles, okay?).

I want to share a Peanut Butter Ball recipe that I have had forever, which was from my Mom….next time? Rum Balls (slurp!)

Peanut Butter Balls

2 sticks margarine
1 3/4 – 2 C crushed graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. peanut butter
1 lb. confectioner’s sugar

- Mix all of the above ingredients
- Roll mixture into small balls, about 1 “
and place on waxed paper

- Then, melt in a double boiler set up over LOW heat,
1 – 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
1/2 a bar of paraffin wax

- Dip peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate using a toothpick or
cake tasting tool

- Lay out on the waxed paper to firm up

- Store in an airtight container

PEANUT BUTTER PIE!!!!
What you will need:
1 graham cracker pie crust
1 cup of peanut butter
8oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup of sugar
12 oz. container of whipped topping, divided
11 oz. jar of hot fudge, divided

Mix together the peanut butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Fold in 3 cups of whipped topping. Spoon mixture into the pie shell. Using a spatula, smooth mixture to edges of pie.

Reserving 2 tablespoons of hot fudge, place remaining hot fudge into microwave for 1 min. Spread hot fudge over pie to cover the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate until serving time.

Just before serving, spread the remaining whipped topping over hot fudge layer, being careful not to mix the two layers.

Place the 2Tbs. hot fudge in a small baggie or sandwich bag and knead for a few seconds. Cut a tiny hole at the end corner of the bag and drizzle lines over pie. Do the same thing with 2Tbs. peanut butter going in the opposite direction of the hot fudge.

And that’s it!
I’m not that great of a cook, but I love making desserts. Enjoy, it’s yummy!
