From the desk of the Iron Brides Associate Producer…

A number of my blog entries feature the hype and excitement I experienced from the first open call auditioning for the new TV Reality Show, Iron Brides, held Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH. I received a great number of responses from those who attended and felt that the public could gain a greater sense of the excitement that was present on the weekend by reading what they had to say….

the first response is from one of the Bridal Contestants for Iron Brides. Deanna Barrett was a great sport and gal with a sense for adventure….

“Good Morning,

I had so much fun on Saturday! I must admit I was nervous walking in there not knowing what to expect. However Yourself George, Jeff and everyone else made me feel quite comfortable. It was very laid back and just a day of fun times that I will never forget! I can’t wait to see the skits up on you tube and the pictures. When the pictures a ready could you email them to me. Thank you so much, I look forward to working with you again soon! I will get my audition up on you tube hopefully by this weekend!

Deanna”

This resonse is from Pam, who is auditioning as a Concierge to the 8 want to be brides for Iron Brides:

“Hi Joann,

It was really great to meet you, George and all the rest this morning. That was a great group of contestants and I’m sure it will be hard to come down to the final few. All the brides were friendly and really excited about their upcoming nuptials. It is a very creative show and I truly would love to be part of it. Thanks for considering me..

This response is from a comedian, Jay Grove, near Madbury….

“Hi Joann,

I wanted to thank you, along with Jeff and George, for hosting such a well-organized and entertaining day. I’m glad that I was able to bring something to the table and get some laughs.

Please pass along my thanks to the rest of the crew. They were professional, organized, and creative.

JG”

And from a Concierge Contestant,

“Hi Joann,

I just want to say thanks again for the opportunity to let me work as Concierge with the brides today. It was great to meet you and all involved and a lot of fun. I will keep passing the word around if I hear of anyone getting married.

Thank you so much and good luck in the upcoming weeks.

Warmest regards,

Iron Brides Taping – QUIET ON THE SET! (Blah, Blah, Blah)

As the crowd thickened in the foyer area to enter the Conference Room of the Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH, being used for auditions for the upcoming reality TV Show, Iron Brides, a slight sense of tenseness crept over me….Wow, this audition taping thing is really happening, I told myself.   Being a bit nervous, I found it hard to sleep the night before.  I kept wondering how many of the bridal contestants would show up, would the three host contestants who said that they were coming and wanting to work the bridal crowd be there….even moreso, I found myself wondering what all of these folks looked like…..how many were as vertically challenged as me……how many had blonde, light brown, or black  hair?   Did any of them sport tatoos that would be really visable, what would they expect from us, what sort of questions will they have, how did they learn about the reality TV Show……alot of silly thoughts, I know.  Just enough for inquiring minds, however!

As contestants came, checked in, and were given an overview of what to expect, the auditions and still photography sessions began.  The excitement in the foyer would grow a little from time to time and the Executive Producer would make an appearance from the Iron Brides Studio set up, and have to remind us with a SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!  QUIET ON THE SET! comment.   After four or five times, one of the Bridal Contestants, Nicole, had mentioned that it was probably because of her…that somehow, someway, she seemed to find trouble….. HMMMM!  (ha  ha)   That grew to be the joke for the morning as periodically, the SSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH! remark would be given again and again.   People were trying hard to be respectful of the auditions being held within the conference room.  However, the level of excitement in chatting, skit planning, and new contestants being checked in made it hard to keep the noise to a “dull roar”.

One of our Contestants, who shall remain nameless, created a sign for George, the Executive Producer, as part of good fun which rounded out the morning session.  The sign read something like this…..QUIET  on THE SET!  (Blah, Blah, Blah)  -  I almost wanted to have it taped on someone’s back  : )

All in good fun, my friends!
