The Iron Brides Production staff hit Portsmouth like the ocean waves hit the NH Seacoast. Steady waves of business, conversation, and animation on behalf of the IB staff, bride, host, and entertainment contestants, helped to make the Iron Brides Audition Day at the Sheraton Inn, in Portsmouth, a HUGE success!
The success of the auditions could not have happened, were it not for the generosity of the Sheraton Inn and their qualified staff. Your assistance in working with 40-45 people during the afternoon and evening hours is appreciated by all of us! Many thanks to you…your facility is wonderful! My hat goes off to the news writers, photographers, and radio talk show hosts who have graciously followed our events in Portsmouth. Without you, we would be really small fish in the sea….You are great! Thank you and, hec…keep it up : )

Coupled with this, I do not mean to brag, however, the events of the day would never have been if it weren’t for the talents of the Production Staff. Jeff Thayer, David Petty, our film and camera operators, question and prompt administrators – a Great Job! George Jobel, thank you for securing the Sheraton Inn and overseeing the events of the day, making certain the contestants were comfortable.
Before the Audition Day began, I didn’t know what to expect as I had scheduled 22 appointments for auditions. Each audition takes about 20-25 minutes to fully complete. What concerned me was the amount of publicity Iron Brides was receiving, via the high number of news releases, radion advertisements, and such. The BUZZ is great! Calculating figures for the day, Iron Brides auditioned 30+ contestants: 17 bride, 8 host, 3 entertainment, and 2 presenter auditions and still photographs. This, coupled with 5 skits, pumpkin painting, and a number of giggling girls dressed up in Halloween costumes made for a very interesting day.
Thank you to Betsy, of Bridal Visions, John Dye, of Sole Training, and Kathleen, a financial planner, for stopping by the Sheraton Inn to observe the Iron Brides audition process – it was good to see all of you.
The rounding out of the day was the still photography of want-to-be Iron Brides (Melissa, Kylin, Stephanie, Amanda, and Jennifer) dressed in both street and formal wear, singing…………you guessed it! (following the military song….)
“We are the Iron Brides,
the Show Directors Brides,
We’re gonna have fun,
‘Cuz we’re the ones,
We are the Iron Brides!”
Like I said, Iron Brides, like the ocean’s waves, hit the seacoast….somewhat gentle and leaving a slight footprint in the sands of New Hampshire’s coastal area….
